Oh yeah, they've got that sand crawl thing too which is badass.

That was impressive, although the added forces of the incline helped too...I'd like to see that same trick performed on level sand - I'd venture a guess that most people get stuck in situations that are not on an incline... :)

Complicated question. Stock, the front differential in EVERY F150 is a pure open diff unless it's an up-trim Raptor or Tremor (i.e. lots of Raptors and Tremors also have an open front diff, which is insane to me). The differential housing is the same across all of them. This means that you can buy the Ford branded Raptor Torsen front diff for about $600; the Tremor CV shafts (NOT the Raptor shafts) will also fit. Install cost is about $3k, thought I have heard a lot of varying stuff on install. I got mine installed at a dealer because many of them told me that only a big dealer could reset the EPS. I believe that folks here have pulled the front diff housing instead of the EPS and thus got around that issue.

One small add on that I highly recommend is a front diff cover with a drain plug. You can pretty easily get a Ford Performance rear diff cover with drain holes, but the front diff cover needs to be a Purple Cranium stamped model with a welded on drain plug. There's no way to replace it without pulling the EPS or diff housing, so it's well worth it to do when installing.

You won't notice the torsen until you need it.

Retired and not looking. I am driving the wife crazy.
I typically have to use 4WD, but only when I go to the grocery store.
