That doesn't surprise me. My 6 day old grandson cries a lot, too.Actually, I am laughing so hard tears are coming out…???
Max tow eats 30lbs of your payload that at best will be 1600lbs. Expect below 1500.My dealer said I’d have a payload of 1740lbs on a 25 Lariat PB with max tow, lariat high, bed utility, 7.2 PPO, BAP, no moon roof. Sounds like you’re all saying that’s not possible.
We don’t get to choose our gene pool or DNA. Perhaps he’s crying about that. That doesn't surprise me. My 6 day old grandson cries a lot, too.
Wrong yet again. We don’t get to choose our gene pool or DNA. Perhaps he’s crying about that.
I didn't know you did that. I wouldn't have responded had I paid more attention. Class act on your part. My comeback was weak but I spelled pejorative correctly without help so I was pretty happy about that. Sport kinda made me feel young, but considering how childishly I defend the PB at the drop of a hat...Which was exactly why I edited (removed) it immediately ... and did so BEFORE you responded and ADDED into YOUR reply. Check the timestamp.
And if you actually consider 'sport' a pejorative, that's pretty weak.
Lol. Sometimes I reply, but immediately recognize something as unnecessary and remove it. The older I get, the more I realize some things aren't necessary.I didn't know you did that. Thank you for the advice on the ESP. Still trying to get my arms around estimating what my mileage will be. I'm self-employed, so I go where the work is.Good luck with it!
For the ESP just try to match up the miles per year you drive with the years of the ESP and you will be golden! If you regularly drive 15K miles a year then the 150K miles at 10 years is a perfect match.
Stay away from deers and turkeys.![]()
A portable generator is a good option for some, but not me. If the power goes out, I do not want to be worrying about a power generator growing a pair of legs in the middle of the nite and walking off or having to refuel it. I'm at the point in my life, I'd rather spend the money to "buy" myself as much free time as possible. Besides, I cannot imagine asking my wife to fill up the gas tank on a portable generator (she would, but I would rather her not have to) - she's as much of a princess as my truckSorry, but can't imagine buying a truck based on a feature that can be had by purchasing a portable generator for $600-700. What happens when you need to leave the house while the power is still out?
Almost all your other reasons are nice to haves and cosmetic differences, so only you can decide if they are worth it.
Bluecruise: Most won't pay the $500/yr. I grabbed the one-time 3 year plan for $200/yr on my 2021 Job 1 truck after I upgraded it to the new BC 1.4 (like yours), but likely wouldn't have paid 2.5 times as much for it if that was my only option.
Hybrid: Compared to ICE trucks, the weight of the Powerboost trucks significantly reduces payload and towing capacities. For light/occassional hauling/towing, you should be fine.
Extended warranty: Whatever helps you sleep at night. But I'm pretty sure your warranty won't cover the one thing that will eventually need replacing - the battery.
In the end, it's your money and your truck. Hope it works out for your needs.
Congrats!
my sentiments exactly - refueling almost non-existent, wife's vehicle in an outage and trailer to haul. Check, check and checkI left my truck (7.2KW Powerboost) plugged into our house running for about 2-1/2 days when we were without power this last summer. Engine would fire up about every 15-20 minutes, then shut back off. Never heard it. Burned approx. 8-9 gallons. Drove the wife's car to work while she worked from home. Ran everything. Well pump, air conditioning, refrigerator lights computers etc. no problem (right up until she turned on the hair dryer while the A/C was running!) Every once in a while you have to manage how many things are running! I LOVE the PowerBoost! My payload is only 1354 lbs, but my truck is probably the heaviest F150 you can get. (21 Limited PB). If I need to haul something big and heavy, I'll borrow my buddy's utility trailer.
