Had this happen to me multiple times while sitting at a stop light. ‘21 SCREW 157” WB, 5.0 XLT FX4. 57000 miles. Truck is in auto start waiting for light to change, “pre-collision stop assist not available” warning comes on. I have to put the truck in park, it starts, warning clears and I’m able to drive away. Probably happened at least a dozen times since I purchased new in April ‘21. Anyone else experience this?

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

Turned the sensitivity to low and will see if that helps.

Same thing happens to me every 20 or 30 stops, I get the service advance track message and also forward collision assist unavailable, then the shift to park and restart. Most of the time when I put my foot back on the brake pedal and start to reach for the shifter the engine will restart, every now and then I will have to actually shift to park and push the button (usually when your in three lanes of rush hour traffic!) Most annoying! Dealer can't find any codes, or problems. I sometimes forget to disable start/stop when I start driving, would be a darn sight easier just to be able to trust the system!
This is my only complaint with this truck, other than that it is an amazing vehicle.
I am assuming all the warning messages etc. are the result of the involved modules not seeing expected inputs due to being in gear and the engine not running with foot off brake pedal.
Also one time this occurred my Ford app reported ABS faults.

I had the same abs fault report onetime also. I do love the truck will see how going to the lower sensitivity setting goes. Happened to me the other day on the freeway, very annoying and a safety issue.

Had a similar situation occur a couple of times recently. It was glare from the sun that caused my warning lamp to come on and I was able to observe it happening again at the same area and around the same time of day heading toward the setting sun. The Ford (tech) investigating the matter for me stated after testing and finding nothing wrong with the sensor or wiring, that Ford notes that this "glare" trigger of the Pre Collision Assist disabled warning lamp can occur and is normal. Also, first turn I made away from direct glare/sunlight, the warning lamp disappeared. That confirmed it being glare related for me.

Miine often happen at night, ond only when lifting foot off brakes and expecting engine to restart. I would say glare is likley not my issue as warning has only ever occurred on failed restart.
