2018 F150 3.5L my truck has been at dealer for 10 days and they can’t align the horizontal adjustment for the front sensor (behind the bumper face plate). They replaced the sensor back in June and it worked for 2 months and now same issue. Can’t use any type of cruise control with the error. They have reached out to Ford hotline for assistance but so far no progress. Truck does have 2in leveling kit which the dealer is aware of. Has anyone dealt with this? I spoke to another dealer in the area to bring to them but they are booked until end of November

No experience with this and the F150, but there has been issues with this with Toyota.

Essentially, what happened with Toyota is a lift would throw the sensor out of it’s adjustment range. What needed to be done was to install a space to angle the sensor downward. Most used 1/8” nylon washers at the top fasteners of the sensor.

I don’t know if there’s a way to measure the angle of the Ford sensor, factory vs after leveling kit. May be an avenue, of course, some thing that the dealer may not be willing to do

The is an easy procedure to adjust the radar, when lift is installed.
Surely the lift people did it
And surely ford tech did it.
It's in the ford documents on thier leveling kit.
But it's same for lifts..
Basically pstk truck at set distance from wall
And the radar face is checked
Search ford level ING kit
Then look at instructions at end
It addresses the radar module
It's in the service manual as well

I found a YouTube video on how to calibrate the sensor, drove the 10-15 min required with the computer plugged in. Error message went away and now works. Mine has been replaced before so hoping this is a permanent fix. Not sure how I figured it out in an hour and Ford had it for 10 days…

Did you do just the Forscan updates?

I did that previously as well, and drove around with it attached until it was complete, it seemed to work, but then the same issue happened.

Mine has been relocated up into the grill area due to a frame cut bumper and larger intercooler, so I was hoping to find some direction/notes on how/where to aim the sensor itself. I am sure it needs to either be tilted up or down and side to side.

I calibrated through ForScan. I’ve been told it needs to be aligned +/- 3 degrees but I don’t know how the works once it is moved
