2021 F150 Lariat Powerboost
Bought a new 2021 F150 Lariat Powerboost a month ago. Has 5k miles on it. (In sales so I drive a lot). The truck wouldn’t switch over to battery and lost power. Then all of a sudden a pic of a wrench popped up on my dash yesterday. The Ford pass gave me this message. (Attached the pic). Took the truck into dealership and they ran test. They found nothing but a code that they didn’t know. Ford told them to clear codes and check battery cables and such. Has anyone else had this problem? Seems to be loosing MPG as well. I was at 20mph, now I’m at 18.2 and haven’t changed any driving habits.

It would be good to know what that DTC actually is. If the dealer doesn't know what it means, then perhaps someone else can find out.

That business about clearing the codes, and not knowing what they mean, has always concerned me

There are some threads here about the HEV transmission throwing codes / alerts. In some cases transmissions have been replaced; in others high voltage interconnects or control modules have been replaced

I have some posts in HEV-HAZARD that sound similiar scenario. Ford knows about bad seals on hybrid battery connectors that can lead to water intrusion. May be worth the dealer checking out the connector for any issues first since they hit everything else on my truck instead which was a waste of a month. We're getting much better mileage since they made the wiring harness replacement.
