22 PB here with about 16k miles…driving along at about 45mph and started noticing the downshifts weren’t as smooth as normal then realized it wasn’t switching to electric mode under braking. Next traffic light I get to I start braking and the truck does switch from hybrid to electric but there’s an audible and physical clunk, hard enough that it felt damaging. Immediately the service engine soon light came on. Ford app says “Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power”. I plug in my OBDLink and it provided a code of “POA1E-00” “starter/generator control module”. Switched the truck to tow/haul mode to keep it out of electric driving and made it home without issue. Will be dropping at the dealer tomorrow, hopefully any easy fix. Anyone with this issue that wants to chime in would be appreciated!
