From what I understand, they (actuators) do move between engine-off/engine-on. And the squeal is just the unlubricated surface of the actuator arm and the circular pivot point.

To eliminate the source as a possibility, you can just spray that pivot point with some kind of lube (dry silicon?) and it would immediately alter or eliminate the squeal altogether.

Easy to see and spray. Especially with one of those straw type delivery cans.

Little hard to tell from your video but I second HammaMan.

I have a 2022 Lariat that was making a very loud "chirp" every time it transitioned from ICE to EV. At first, the dealer couldn't "replicate the issue" so I had to go for a drive with the tech. Once I demonstrated the issue and specifically asked them to check the heat exchanger valve I was able to get it replaced under warranty.

No more chirp. Milage has also improved since having it replaced. That could be unrelated but I was averaging 18-19 before and have since been getting 20-22.

I can DM you a copy of the report with all the notes if that would be helpful to show your dealer.

So this issue just hit me. 22 XLT PowerBoost with 50500 miles on it. Took it to the dealership. They had the truck for three days where they made the supposed repair? When I left the vehicle with them it had no check engine light on. It did have stored codes they pulled and began the CSP repair. They stated the long delay was due to availability of part.

Had the truck less than 4 days, was driving to obtain parts to do a transmission service when low and behold the check engine light came on. Called the steelership they took it in today have had the damn thing for 5 hours and didn't have the decency to call me. I had to call them and ask. The service steeler said he would have to call me back?

This repair should not be that complex. Why in the world is it taking so long? Do I have to go to a specific steelership for service that knows how to work on these vehicles?

A part of me wishes Ford would pay me to do the repairs. This way I don't have to keep going back to the steelership unnecessarily. So frustrating. Sorry I'm just blowing off stream. Sorry for the rant
