As I sit on the beach, a thousand miles from home,
Ford F-150 Powerboost or not IMG_5525
in my TT, plugged into my Powerboost, drinking coffee, watching the sunrise, with all the power I need, I say who would not want a Powerboost.

Great use of the extra space! I imagine the longer wheelbase tows and backs just a little bit smoother as well. Turns are more of a challenge perhaps, but slow and easy down the road you go...
I do not like the "ride" when towing. It likes to rock front to back. I think it's the OEM shocks. I still plan to put some Bilstein 4600 model shocks in order to stop the soft fore and aft rocking motion.

I’m not familiar with the shocks, but I’m new to this. I imagine a kind of tugging motion sensation when I read your post. Is it the trailer tongue rocking up and down on the hitch do you think? Would rear air suspension dampen that force?

Perhaps the shocks you mentioned have increased dampening over the stock ones. Front and back? Are you giving up softness when unloaded?

Foe me the sensation is the current shocks are too soft and allows a front to back rocking.

Air suspension would probably help.

The shocks on the truck now are the OEM shocks. I suspect new Bilsteins could/would firm the ride up when not towing. But I;m used to that. My last truck was a 163" wheel base HDPP pick up with 17" LT tires, load range E. That truck rode firmly.

I imagine it did! Bilsteins, air bags, and sway bars for all ho-ho-ho!
