I use my Powerboost to power my 120v travel trailer using the 240v outlet, NEMA L14-30P/L14-30R extension cord, and L14-30P to L5-30R adapter. Using the 240v receptacle at 120v provides a maximum of 3600w. Is there a way to incorporate one of the 120v outlets to get more than 3600w?

The only way to potentially do this would be to have a transformer, and I'm not sure if that would even work. You can't get more than 30A from a single 120v leg and there's no way to combine them on the truck.

No, as @imnuts indicated. The most amperage you can get on these trucks is 30 amps. At 120 volts, that’s 3600 watts. Nor could you use more amps/wattage in all likelihood. Looking at the issue from the trailer side, if you have a modestly-sized travel trailer your load center probably only supplies a maximum of 30 amps at 120 volts. So one circuit of the Powerboost would provide all the juice your trailer could handle anyway. Look at your trailer’s power connection. You probably have a warning sticker that looks like this:

Great responses and both make sense. Thanks for the quick replies.

I guess I am not sure why the question.

Does your TT expect more than 30A @ 120V?

No, it approached 3400 watts when I had almost everything running. I was just curious.
