Just wondering if anyone here has installed the Fox 2.0 Snap ring shocks on their powerboost yet? It looks like its the only Fox front shox approved for the powerboost since it reused the factory ~650lb coil springs.

I'm supposed to have the front snap ring shocks and rear 2.0's installed tomorrow along with a set of airbags for the rear.

There’s a guy on the other forum that did and had good results. With all the different spring rates between models that seems like it should give the most consistent lift

thanks for the reply and for the info! I just called Fox and he stated that they are updating their website to show use of last years 2.0 coilovers and this years snap ring for the powerboost. It might be salesman talk, but he said that they've received good feedback from customers using the snap ring shocks with powerboost trucks.

What’s interesting is that the snap ring are listed up to 2.5” of lift but the regular adjustable are only up to 2”. Eitherway I’m hoping they come out with the new 2.5 coilover which will give a little more shock travel. Outside of travel, I do prefer fox’s linear dampening to the others. I don’t have a powerboost but mine came out a little low as well. I’m going to adjust them this weekend and see how they ride before I look at replacements.

Did you get the 2.0 snap ring shocks installed on your PB? How’s the ride, what setting did you use, and how much lift did that net you?

Sorry for the delay......

I had the snap ring shox installed up front and some 2.0's in the rear. I set the front snap ring to the 1" of lift position, and thats exactly what I ended up getting.

Overall, I'm happy. I've put about 1500 miles on truck since the install. The truck is definitely a bit stiffer, but the more controlled ride is worth it. For comparison, I installed Fox 2.0's front and rear on my 2014 F150 and I feel like they were softer than the 2.0's on the 2021. It could be related back to the stock spring up front with some preload on it, but i'll see if they soften up a bit as they continue to break in.

I would recommend the Fox 2.0 Snap ring shocks to other powerboost owners looking for a more controlled ride and some lift up front. If you have a non-powerboost then spend the extra $$$ and get the full Fox 2.0 set with the included springs.
