Powerboost air filter replacement

Hey guys, just trying to replace my engine air filter on my 2022 powerboost with the motorcraft FA 1883 oem filter.
but when I replaced it with the new one I could not slide in the 4 clips into the 4 holes/grooves and it seems that the replacement filter is too thick. anyone have any tips?

The replacement filter I bought (can't remember the brand) had the same issue. Rubber type gasket around the filter element was slightly thicker than the OEM. I got it to work with a little persuasion though.

Got the FA 1883 from Amazon and do not recall any issues.

well guys i got it replaced and installed. i had to heat up the rubber seal/gasket on the filter to be more pliable to install.

Swapped mine out 3 times so far and never had an issue as long as I put it in the right direction. Once I had it rotated 90°. Just had to push a little bit to compress the gasket.
