Assembling parts to add power tilt to steering column.
I have a 23 Lariat midlevel equipment.
Havent found any good videos on a 2023 or similar for this.
Want to be ready for tools and time of project.
Anyone out there done this?
Double jeapardy Question: new wiring harness needed for adding SWH, adaptive cruize and powertilt?

I want to do that myself. My wife drives truck too and the changes never get done back in 1 try.
Will make the memory option much better.

Theres a thread that one of the members started says “converting 501 to 502” something.

He dis change a lot but ai guess the steering one was stricken off due to high costs.

Thanks thunder. Lots of threads on 501-502 upgrades. I agree, the memory function would be helpful for my spouse and i too. I am one of those converting my 23 in stages.
Really just wondering if this is a 2 hour job, or like an all day thing.
Wasnt able to find any videos on the modern to get an idea.

It was like a 2 hour job changing the steering column, but I probably spent another 4-6 hours between checking what wires were populated and building the wiring harness, plus the research required to get the parts was several hours too. Hopefully I’ve shortened your time some

Just keep in mind that the wiring for the air bag is like an inch too short for the powered steering column at full extension. I had to really pul and work to get enough slack just so it wouldn’t break when I moved the steering column around

Very true. Havent gotten the motors functioning uet, but yes, the attaching point for the harness are a little short. Just started getting some alerts about the air bag. Ill revisit that harness and check it out.
