Not something I ever really do for any reason, so I dont know if its suppose to do this or not, but if im stopped and in drive, and i try to power brake like im going to launch it or burnout or whatever, it initially makes this weird electronic sounding zipping/whirring type of noise for a split second before it will let the engine rev. The sound comes from the floorboard near my feet.

Is this some type of nanny maybe? Or a symptom of some type of issue? It happens regardless of what drive mode im In, whether autohold is on or not, and whether TC/AT is off.

I did a bit of googling, and maybe im doing a poor job describing it, but I cant really find anyone talking about anything similar. I've had this truck for 4 years, and cant say I remember it doing this before, but I've probably also never even tried to power brake it either.

Are you hearing the same noise that can be heard at the start of this short video?

It's been over a year since I recorded that, but I'm pretty sure the noise in the video was the parking brake applying. I'm not sure how normal it is, but I can't remember my truck doing it anytime recently. It might be something that changed with one of the many OTA updates that I've received.

It sounds somewhat similar to the parking brake, but this definitely a different sound coming from a different location. My engine won't rev when it does it half the time either, and if i try it again shortly after, it power brakes fine, which is what made me suspect some type of nanny. Almost like it wants to make sure the first time wasn't an accident.

Have you had to have any type of work done to your truck? Like maybe it's a symptom of something you got fixed already that you didn't realize was related?

My truck is a Job 1 2021, so I have 4 years of software updates and many forscan changes. My truck has a Raptor hi-lock transfer case swap, and it's currently custom tuned with HP tuners. To be honest, I hardly know what's normal anymore.
