Agreed - the Lariat looks awesome.

I've never been a fan of the Limiteds lettering on the hood and now that they are doing it on the Platinums I would have them removed before I drove one off a lot.
And I still would not opt for the Platinum Plus 703A because I would need the 157-in wheelbase.
That tailgate screams XL\XLT and just a big "No" for me.

I agree with both of your comments - spot on! Spelling out "Platinum" doesn't symbolize luxury. And a tailgate that looks like an XLT doesn't help matters.

I assume they are just stuck on letters. A little fishing line and a heat gun and they are good as gone.

The seats look like couches!

And agreed with comments on the tailgate being ho-hum. That was one of the things about the Platinum that separated it from other trim levels. I wasn't a huge fan of the design myself, but at least you knew what you were looking at immediately.

In this instance I also agree that the Platinum effect is lost on the back end. I can see why people would be upset now, as from the back there is no differentiating factor.. but hey Ford reduced 2K parts from last years to this year right?! Save the planet, RIGHT?!....

Sure glad I bought the 2023 version. That 2024 Plat is ugly in every way IMO.
