How about "IT manager"
I seem to have received an update at some point that has completely jacked phone calls. Android Auto has remained with the same typical quarks, we won't get into. But out of no where, I cannot make or receive calls anymore. Over AA or bluetooth, all I or the other side can hear is exceptionally loud static. I don't like taking calls while I'm driving, so I have no idea when exactly this change happened, but it's rendered phone calls completely unusable. If I switch off of AA to BT only, its the same thing. Rebooted my phone, which hasn't received any updates in a good while.

Anyone else have this crop up recently?

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? We'd like to investigate this audio concern on our end. Thanks!

Sounds a bit similar to my situation I posted about a few months ago.

See if any of the suggestions there don't help. Then you'll know if you are in the same boat as us in that thread.

I will say today I called my wife on my way home from work and it was the first time I heard a clear call without resorting to the tricks we posted in the other thread. Hopefully I've turned a corner on this one.

Thank you for that information, Chris. Just to clarify, have you visited Tri-County Ford regarding this audio concern in the last 30 days? If so, what information was relayed to you?

after you give them all of your info and they steal your data they will tell you to go to the dealer. I would skip all that and just go to the dealer.
Dealer has no idea on what to have been to 2 different dealers, no results

No I have not, I don't live anywhere near that dealer (but the one near my kinda sucks..). What're those guys really gonna do? Reset the radio software? That is always an option, but I don't know which version update started the problem, to tell them which one to rollback to. And if I do that, then I can't pull debug or sys logs for the Ford devs, if they want them. If they don't want any of this information or testing with the current version I'm using, then okey dokey, I'll go to the dealer.

I will check that out right now, thank you!

I have had this issue for some time now. I have a Moto G5G phone, 2024 previously had a older moto when it started. Bought new phone and it worked fine for a month and then wham. Works in every other vehicle I have tried but not my 2021 F150 PowerBoost. Been to 2 different dealers and they have no idea what to do. I have did all of the peoples post on there ways to fix, multiple times if removing phone from truck and resetting all my truck settings, phone connection still sucks, very disappointed that I can't use hands free calling. Sure wish Ford would post a fix or send a over the air update. ?

Last Jan this issue suddenly popped up with my Moto G7. I had no success at all with trying various fixes. I paired a friend's phone to my truck and it worked fine. About a month ago I upgraded to a Sumsung S24 and my issues were gone. The Motorola was maybe 6 years old and that may have been part of the problem.

I see people mentioning the Moto G7 in that other thread. I'm using Asus Zenfone 9 (Android 14).
Phone works like usual via bluetooth in my 2019 Miata (without AA/AC update)

My phone is a Motorola. It does seem to affect Motorola phones more than others, but not exclusively. My phone works fine in my wife's Kia Sedona and my son's Rav4.

Try tapping the phone icon on the display screen when making a call to transfer to your cell then back to the truck and see if the sound quality doesn't return.
