Hey everyone,

I’ve found that the pedestrian sounder is really loud…

that being said, I don’t want to delete it but would like to turn it down. My old truck had a speaker that chirped when I locked my truck. It was under the body and I put a piece of duct tape on to deaden the sound considerably.
Anyone know where I can find the pedestrian sounder on my Powerboost?

thanks in advance

The speaker is near the intercooler accessible from the bottom.

The cheap method is as you say. It will only cost some duct tape and maybe some foam.

If you want the ability to turn it on and off at will, then something like this product would work for you.

FORD EXTERNAL SPEAKER BYPASS - PREMIUM RC EDITION | MegaOhm Motorsports LLC (bigcartel.com)

Turn it on for safety when your shopping and in parking lots. Turn it off when you are home or backing up at night.

While you are at this persons website pick up the metal PowerBoost locking gas cover pin that he makes and swap it out with the OEM plastic one you get. Good luck.

I have a '22 PB. I'm getting older so maybe my hearing is fading a bit, but I haven't heard, or noticed hearing, this sounder. Although I can clearly hear the backup chime.
Is it possible that this thing is louder on some trucks than others? Or perhaps the dealer toned it down using Forscan before delivery?

If I remember correctly from posts back at the time, Ford did tone it down sometime in 2022 production. My 2022 PB was built toward the back half of the 2022 production cycle and mine is not as bad some originally stated.
