Hi-

I just received a set of XLT leather seats covers from a re-seller on Ebay. Unfortunately, one of the front headrests has a slit in the leather. Naturally, the seller is blaming me. I can't for the life of me figure out the correct part number for a replacement based on the tag - nothing matches. Any help? This is black onyx leather with gray stitching.

The Ford ID number is the closest thing I can see. It might be an engineering number you have to cross reference to get your part number though. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.

I googled that nlb3 number and it is generic would need 2 numbers added to the end like ba or ya etc …. This may seam rudimentary but swing by a ford dealer and look in the windows till u find the black with the grey stitching and get the vin and have there parts guy look up the number for you or an online dealer if they actually have pictures

Most lariats have the goldish/brownish stitching, so keep that in mind.

The devil is in the details as they say. Read the part number notes. Lariat is leather only, not cloth. Unfortunately we have to dig for the part numbers and sort through nonsense.
Alternatively, you can use autotrader to find a vin that has those exact seats and call a dealer.

Onyx is the universal black in F150s, ash is the gray

Exactly. And a search for the color combo is not helping, either!

I keep coming across the brown stitching, too.

ehhhhh, I'm kinda leaning

Oh, here's a VIN to call a dealer 1FTFW5LD2RFA01004

Looks like lariat stitching starting in 24 is 'ash' and the headrest covers come up with "all" in the description for onyx unless interior color is 'ash'. No 'pecan' stitching unless ash leather. I can't get part numbers for ash interior to come up in the system.

That's the closest I've seen to matching numbers/description. Wish they had a pic.

This one looks like the cheaper XLT BAP leather.
Likely cheaper in quality, but possibly not price. My dog got underneath one of my rear door protectors and scratched the s#it out of the door card. I looked up a replacement and found out that the rear BAP door cards are the most expensive variant...

It was more of texture thing, not so much 'price'. The XLT's BAP leather has very little surface definition making it appear less premium -- which is nuts given that it's now in the 303a package which is like within $3% of a 501 which is a much different truck for little more. Regardless of trim, don't try and replace the passenger seat foam bottom. Ford thinks very highly of those parts.

*Edit* I incorrectly posted the rear XLT BAP headrest covers here so I removed that to prevent future confusion.
