So for the last year, I've been convinced that there was something loose inside of my rear passenger headliner that was making a noise.
Not a clunck, but more of a tick / click when the vehicle experiences lateral forces from a turn.
Turns out this is coming from my moonroof.
Not from the guards on the slide mechanism, nor the side rubber accordion dust protectors that constantly fall off because they're press fit terribly along the slide mechanism.
I have yet to take the vehicle in to Ford for a diagnosis and repair mainly because I'm lazy, but I'm a year overdue for a mandatory Virginia safety inspection so I figure I'll have them look at that, along with my drivers side tow mirror that frequently gets stuck in the heat on retraction / extension.
Just wanted to give those of you who have had similar noises in the headliner another possible avenue for resolution when talking to the service manager / service techs.
