Good Day everyone

recently got a beautiful 2025 lariat earlier this week and was checking out my vehicle and found a small paint chip like bump on my door and not sure exactly what it could be. Its hard as rock when running my finger through it and it seems to still have the paint on this bump. Not sure what this is if i could maybe get some ideas.

thank you in advance.

Thats definitely some kind of debris under your clear coat. Quality control has really gone down hill. I would go see your dealor asap they should have caught that in pre delivery prep. It will need to be sanded out and resprayed. Should be done for you at no cost. Let's hope thats your experience.

Yeah honestly i was thinking the same thing. The funny thing is i look at my truck everytime i get out just cuz its brand new and havent notice that for the 5 days ive had it. Itd be weird if it came out with this imperfection randomly. Just crazy how this has happened with something so new. Wonder how long they will take at the dealer?

This is my thought too. I have a few spots with dirt under my paint. I think actually a bristle on my bumper. I had a quarter-sized paint bubble right in the middle of my bed that I got warranty repaired.

Warranty that bump

Ford assembly quality has never been very good unfortunately relative to other automakers.

When you got it repaired did you notice they did a good job or you seen the respray was visible.

That should have been caught at factory. That is a warranty issue for sure.

That’s a significant nip. Doesn’t look like sanding will fix it because it appears to be under the color coat. Might be something on the aluminum panel instead in the paint.
