P2196 code today

First off I searched for this code on this forum but didn’t find any info. Lots of info on the other F150 forums however.

So I was out getting a cheese wheel and when I shut the truck off it shook briefly which caught my attention. When I started it back up the engine light was on . Only had to drive a mile to get home and it ran fine . Plugged in my code reader and got the P2196 code . I called the dealer and they said they could see the code on their end so I’m booked for next week. I told the advisor to check a few other things as I’m still getting shuddering under load (worse when towing - I have another thread on that topic) . I love the way this things drives and handles . Really hope they can figure this out and I’m optimistic maybe it’s a coil or plug and that will also solve the other vibration issues I’ve had .

This morning when I started the truck it sounded like it backfired slightly, small pop noise. Wondering if some fuel got into the cat after sitting overnight? I am not familiar with this part of the "system" so I'm not sure if that can even happen.

Annnd and update, engine light is gone but my OBD code reader still shows P2196.

Thanks FoMoCo. So I need an O2 sensor replaced, get it done Thursday. Mechanic who came with me thinks this will clear up my shaking/studdering/ rough idle . I think there is a very good chance this O2 sensor is going to clear up most, if not all, of my complaints.

Got my truck back today, runs really smooth now lol. Especially at idle and under heavy throttle. I think my "vibration" issues I posted about back in the spring were most likely related to this O2 sensor but without a code/CEL the dealer basically sent me on my way after a test drive stating it was normal. My gut tells me this O2 sensor started acting up a month or two after taking delivery of the truck but not bad enough to trigger a code. This is out of my scope so I don't know if that is possible. I guess my message to other people on here that feel some shuddering/vibrations/rough idling maybe see if the dealer will inspect the 02 sensors.
