One could argue jeep is doing a better job on the PHEV front than ford is.... They actually have some. The cherokee qualifies for 7500$ rebate too. We should have a PHEV powerboost already that qualifies for the rebate. That'd likely make the 'engine' option 'free'.

Anyway, we're hoping a PHEV powertrain becomes available for it to compete with the 4Xe, and it would help improve the mpg damage done by the 4.7 rear end gearing et al.
