Yes with Forscan and it was a file. No asbuilt changes or anything. So you have to have 2.4 Forscan and a Good OBD adapter. You also need to know what file you currently have and if there is a newer version available.
Can you tell me what file, how to test the version, and how to get it? I have never updated a file with FORScan before - not afraid to learn or research but I didn’t even know this was possible with FORScan.

Did a fair amount if messing around and collecting some data tonight. Without a doubt the leveling feature is “leveling” in the wrong direction. First I measured the unloaded ride height from the ground to the lip on the fender flares front and rear to get a baseline height. The rear sits at 41.25” and front 40.75”. Then I set up a 40” measuring device on a wall with tape lines every 12” from the ground for easier reference. With the truck unloaded the headlight cutoff line was basically exactly the same at 36” above the ground with and without the leveling feature active (key on engine running headlight switch to auto vs key off engine off and headlight switch to the on position). However, that’s where the similarities ended. I put 300 lbs of sand bags on the tailgate to simulate the tongue weight of roughly a 3000lb trailer. With the leveling on, the height jumped up to 43” from 36” unloaded and the leveling feature off yielded 41” or 2” lower and closer to the unloaded cutoff line measurement. With a jack back under the hitch I lifted the rear of the truck up and recorded measurements every 1” I went up with the back. I’ll attach the spreadsheet so you guys can see the data but it’s clear the self leveling feature at least on my truck is backwards. Lastly I wanted to see what would happen if I just loosened the rear ride height sensor to where I could move it a bit separate from the suspension to see which way the headlights are moving. Same conclusion…interesting to watch it work though. Hopefully all of this kinda makes sense. I’m tired and it’s well past my bedtime lol…I’ll share more pictures with explanations later.

i knew something was up! haha awesome job!

OK, Did some testing and mine for sure is backwards. I can jack the back up and watch the headlights slowly adjust down further after truck has stopped moving. Same for when i let the jack down, The headlights slowly move higher up. When it should be reversed.
same to you! thank you both for finding this out! i had a feeling something was wrong.

I was able to fix mine. I had to update a configuration file in the HCM. It now stays level with the marked line when jacking the back of the truck up. So its actively leveling the correct way vs reversed like it was before. So seems like Ford fixed it but forgot about sending it to some of us.
oh lord something i'm not familiar with doing.

so Forscan 2.4 and a good OBD adapter? i got that. how do you figure what file you have and where to find the newer version? why do these things have to be so complicated just to have your truck work as intended.

even if i have an update, i have no way to get it

The thing is, It could have been just a Raptor thing. There could be other issues that are not related to just this file. If you want, Send me your vin and i can check what version your on. I'm going to see if its fixes @BAP84 as well considering he put in the time to show the data. @Thetoad30 shoot me your vin and we can start there. You may not even need a update or may have the update pending.

Tested and doggone it, not fixed on mine. 22 Plat Powerboost with scales and ccd. I also confirmed I have the reversed correction. Unbelievable a feature that is supposed to rectify actually makes it worse.

I did notice that the correction happens in 3 or 4 small quick shifts fwiw and that the amount of correction applied does not appear to be enough to have offset the incorrect aim completely. Perhaps only 1/2 of it. (had it actually compensated in the correct direction) Video available.

Perhaps there is more to my story as I went to the dealer 3 months ago and they were supposed to have applied the front park lamp flicker recall. I logged the hcm changes they made in the included jpg, pre is blue ab1 and post green ab2.

Ford F-150 Onboard Scales Wrong - Affects Headlights Galpin pre and post hcm changes for front park lamp flicker recall

I use the terms 'supposed to have' because Ford still shows the recall as needing to be performed. I wish I knew the exact parameters that recall changes so I could compare. Interestingly I had applied the glare free changes way before visiting the dealer and it was working beautifully, albeit I still blinded people towing. I had removed that modification before the service visit tho and now that I have it back, glare free is somewhat??? working again? I need to check the rest of the parameters.

I see the changes the dealer made to the HCM are the same as used to enable glare free so I don't know what to think. Did they add glare free by mistake and not apply the recall? Are the glare free changes part of the recall? Who knows but they were incredibly inept, the other 5 items I had come in for were completely unaddressed, invoice states "unable to perform work".

@crazywayne311 Again, Dont know if this the fix but it was for mine. I would start there if you have the reversed leveling.
