I have an OBDLink MX+ and have been using the OBDlink software. I want to have sensor readings show up on my Carplay display and OBDLink doesn't seem to do that, so I purchased OBD Fusion. for $10. Fusion looks identical to OBDLink. Are the same people making this software? Also it is asking me for an additional $15 to add the Powerboost PIDS. I already have those PIDS on my OBDlink software. Do I have to buy them again or is there a way this talks to OBDlink? Seems really weird.

Yes, they are the same software. No, they don't talk to each other just like if you purchased an addon on android it won't transfer to apple

My guess is obdlink makes devices and customizes the fusion software and rebranding it under their name.

I was in the same boat. Pay for the extra PIDs. It displays great on the screen. You don’t get gauges but you do get to show whatever values you want

So can I just get rid of OBDLink then? There is no reason for to have it if I have Fusion with the add-on? Also strange. OBDlink won't connect to my MX+ now that I have the Fusion installed. Even if Fusion is totally deactivated and turned off.

obd fusion is a superset of OBDLink. OBDLink doesn't do everything that OBD fusion does e.g. CarPlay display of PIDs. If you have OBD fusion, you don't need OBDLink. You will have to buy the Ford/Lincoln/Mercury library for OBD fusion. Make sure you buy the library for your MY.

Just uninstall OBDLink and go with OBD Fusion. OBD Link is free with MX+ purchase so you can always reinstall if there is something you feel you are missing. I have been able do do everything I wanted through OBD Fusion of was doing with OBD Link
