Interstate VS Duracell?

My local sams has a duracell H8 for $200.00 and
my local costco has an interstate H8 for $170.00

Is it worth saving the $30 or is Interstate just as good or better than Duracell???

The interstate batteries at Costco have a 36 month warranty now I seen. My daughter has one of each from Sam's and Costco in 2 different cars and both seem pretty good.

I sold Interstate batteries for years, so my vote would be for them. I didn't realize Duracell made car batteries so I can't comment on them.

Interstate batteries are pretty solid and are considered the battery battery in my area.

I buy brands that if they fail it will be easy to find a store to get a replacement under the warranty. That used to be Sears but now I go with NAPA brands and buy from my local store. Sams/Wal-Mart gets $400,000 per store per year in local subsidies and any profits leave the community. I buy from local merchants with local owners and employees that keep the money in the local economy.

... but are they the exact same battery? Unless the Walmart batteries have been recently upgraded, they are not worth it. I used to run Walmart batteries in all 5 of my vehicles. after several years and multiple batteries, I noticed I always had to use their prorated warranty to put another Walmart battery in my cars 2 to 3 years later. I finally realized it was an endless cycle of early replacements. I have since bought higher quality Interstate and Duracell batteries which are still running strong after more than 6 years and my wife has not been stranded while I have been out of town on travel.

Haven't used anything other than their cheapy $50 units (not sure of current price, before the inflation increasing act they were $49). Never got less than 5 years out of one. Just had one go out barely missing out on its 7th year mark.

I sell Deka who make the Duracell battery - first the Duracell are made in US (Penn), they have a good reputation and are well made. Interstate are made in Mexico (and by the way are probably equal in quality to Deka), so I cannot rip them just for that ... If you like green colored batteries, go for the Interstate - if you can part with some extra green go with the Duracell! ha ha ...
