I have had my 2021 Lariat KC build since late April 2021. I live in California and it's relatively warm most of the year especially from April on. Now that we are in winter and it's colder, my truck has developed a noise from behind the steering wheel. it sounds like a clicking or scraping when the wheel is turned. It happens every time I drive the truck but is louder when it's colder outside and when I first start driving in the morning. I took the truck to the dealership to address this issue as well as 3 other quality related issues. They fixed the other issues but could not replicate this one. I just sent my advisor this video. I did some research online and one possible cause is that one or more of the wires that sit behind the airbag assembly are rubbing or scraping on something and need to be massaged into place and taped down. Is anyone else having this issue? if so have you resolved it?

For those interested, my other 3 issues were:
problem: excessive wind noise at 45mph or higher, at least I think it was excessive.
resolution: mirror caps were found to have some gaps around them. They were removed and re-installed with no gaps. The noise has been reduced. These are standard (non-tow) mirrors.

problem: front tire rubbing inside wheel well when reversing with steering wheel at full lock to the left.
resolution: inner fender liner was not installed properly. It was adjusted and now the problem has been resolved.

problem: rear seat bench not sitting flush from driver to passenger side. Passenger side sitting higher.
resolution: seat foam cushion was not centered properly on driver side, foam was coming off j-hooks every time bench was folded up. Set foam cushion adjusted on driver side. It's not perfectly level from driver to passenger but it's a lot better. After the fix the driver side bench sits higher, but the passenger is still taller.

For the last few years I’ve been lurking on the sidelines and I have to say these forums are amazing. But today I decided to join and hopefully help someone with a similar issue as mine. I think I may have a fix for the clunk/rattle discussed in this thread. Going over bumps I could feel/hear a clunk sometimes rattle from the steering column. I got in it today and could replicate the noise with hard steering back and forth at a standstill. So I wedged my self into the driver foot well and found the shaft/ joint assembly had play when pulling on it. I tightened 1 10mm bolt circled below and the rattle is gone. In the photos the wheel is to the left and firewall to the right. while under there I was able to move the whole assembly back and forth. In the direction of the red arrow in photo 1. I gave the bolt circled in red a 3/4 turn and this has resolved my issue.
