My truck wouldn't start this morning. In fact it barely even responded to me. The little white overhead lights would come on, and I could hear it doing something but not sure what. Nothing would happen when pressing the engine start button except the green light on the start button would start flashing, and a light would flash briefly by the buttons above the infotainment screen. Tried using the fob, no dice. Tried app, no luck. Tried jumping the truck, no luck.
I got the truck to start by disconnecting both 12V batteries for a few minutes and then reconnecting. I started it via the fob and it started right up. It had a check engine light. I used forscan to check the DTCs, there were a bunch, including:
-P1A42 - Propulsion System Status Signal Performance
-P1A43 - Hybrid/EV Battery Contactor Request Signal Performance
-U0293 - Lost Communication With Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module
-U0100 - Lost Communication With ECM/PCM
-U0298 - Lost Communication With DC/DC Converter Control Module
-And others, log file here
2023 XLT Powerboost Max Tow, it has the TSB for "stop safely now" already performed.
Any idea what might be happening? I scheduled a service visit for a few weeks from now (first available almost).
Thanks!!!
