No power steering at startup

I had this issue a few days ago, but it freed up after a few seconds.

Temps were in the teens.

Yeah, same here and I only have 12,000 on mine.

Started truck today same way as yesterday with no issues. Yesterday when it happened there was zero power steering. I was parked and wheel was centered. It was cold here in NY (15-20 overnight)but it’s been colder and never had that happen. You will know if you have the issue truck is a beast to turn without power. Hope like everyone else it seems to be just a glitch. If it happens put the truck in sport and make sure the ICE comes on. That did the trick for me. Thanks for all the replies.

Hey everyone. My 21 PB (80,000km) has had this happen a handful of times in the past month. I have a few twists to the story though. I took a video this morning when it happened again:

1. remote started and it ran hadn't timed out yet
2. jumped in, held brake and hit the start button (I don't think it requires holding brake when it has been remote started but whatever)
3. put it in reverse to back out of driveway (ICE was off/RPM=0), and quickly realized I had no power steering.
4. I also noticed that my backup beeper wasn't on! Shifter was in reverse and I was able to move though.
5. In the minute or so sitting in R with my foot on the brake, the ICE kicked in and both beeper and steering were instantly restored to normal operation.

This 'no power steering' scenario has occurred 2 or 3 times in the month since a long deep freeze where my truck was parked in AVERAGE -20degC for over a week, and one day I had to start it without block heating. Ever since, after I shut off the truck about 50% of the time, I see this: "System Off to Save Battery", "Please turn ignition off or start engine".
My remote starter sometimes takes multiple tries from the FOB until I get a green LED.

Truck honestly runs great aside from all that.

On my next 80 point inspection, I'm assuming a new battery is in order. But right now, being able to put it in Reverse and move without the beeper, but not able to steer, seems like a pretty serious glitch no matter what the reason.
