Unprecedented....what's unprecedented is how badly Ford has rolled out 2024 F150's. Many trucks ordered early in the process are still sitting somewhere with no or very little updates provided to customers.

Yeah right; Ford can't convince me of their "unprecedented truck offensive"; sounds similar to that big add campaign for the new Pro Access Tailgate which Ford failed to deliver in a timely manner on the 2024s. Ford purports to build a F150 every 33 seconds; yet, I'm still waiting on a 2024 F150 Platinum Plus which was ordered 12/12/2023, built 2/12/2024 and has since been stuck in Ford Purgatory in Michigan...almost two months "in production". Further, there is no transparency to the customer regarding the delay and no ETA at the dealer. Very disappointed in Ford!!

Truck orders taking many months to arrive, and/or stacking up in storage lots is what is NOT unprecedented.

This forum has many threads similar to the current one(s) filled with frustrated posts by fellas waiting for their truck to arrive at the dealership.

Many of those members are still members here. The difference between them and those currently frustrated is they are posting about their trucks in possession now.

I suspect the same will be true soon enough for those currently waiting. Hopefully, once the truck arrives, the negative of waiting won't steal the joy of ownership. :)

Edit: I forgot to mention the obvious. I was one of them. Almost 6 months to the day. And I was quicker than many.

Snake: I ordered my new KR Powerboost six months ago almost to the day (will be in 3 days). I still haven't been scheduled much less built or even thought of built. If I get scheduled next week, the earliest I will likely get my truck is July at best. That will be nine months after order. The Covid excuse is gone. The supply chain excuse is gone. This is just old fashioned poor execution.

Sorry that so many haven't gotten their trucks, but i assure you they are worth waiting for as i picked mine up last week and it really is a great looking truck, liking the inside and ride and handling. Had 2016,2016,2018 and 2020 all great trucks but this unit tops the cake. Keep your heads up and i know you will enjoy your New Truck when you get it finally. My thoughts and feelings on the whole situation.

I think supply chain is still an issue, nothing like it was when a 2x4 was $50 bucks. But maybe the Transportation Secretary and his husband had another baby that's keeping him busy? Boeing's falling out of the sky, ships crashing into bridges, etc...

?‍♂

It took me 7 months to get my 2021 order built and delivered.

granted supply chains broke back then.

Am I reading this correctly that the belt starter is no longer on the ‘24 PB?

“Under the hood, Kelly Johnson, hybrid calibration engineer, and his team helped improve powertrain smoothness on the F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid trucks by blending the power coming from the electric motor and gas engine through software updates.

That allowed engineers to completely remove the belt starter, reducing weight and complexity and helping us offer the PowerBoost Hybrid at the same manufacturer’s suggested starting price as the EcoBoost model.”

I just got a promo from Ford in the mail. I told the wife it had a $2,000 coupon for a new Ford. She wasn't impressed with this "Money saving" idea...

That is interesting indeed.

And if Ford does eliminate it from the truck it supports the theory that the BISG was always just a BIS

I never found any evidence that it was leveraged as a generator/alternator.

If supply chain is still an issue, it's intentional (and I think all of this crippling of American industry & consumer is 100% intentional).

I wouldn't assume all of these are lemons. Nor would I assume that Ford is the only manufacturer to have quality issues. Mercedes, BMW, and Volkswagon have long been associated with quality, but have some of the worst new car quality over the last few years, mostly due to electronics.
