Greetings all,
Just wanted to introduce myself, I’ve been lurking on these forums for the past few weeks. I just acquired a new 2022 F150 XL 4x4 with the 3.3 v6 and I couldnt be happier with it. I bought this as I’m self employed and this will be my work truck. I had a 2022 Maverick AWD before this and put about 40,000 miles on it, however Bambi decided to jump into the roadway and that was the end of that for both of them.
I do a lot of miles (around 50k per year) with around 1,000 lbs in the bed every day which is why I wanted the simple engine on my new truck. Hopefully since there aren’t really any posts on the 3.3 that it turns out to be a solid motor. Honestly I’m surprised at how well this engine does shifting the weight of a full sized truck down the road. It is more than adequate. It’s obviously not the powerhouse that the EcoBoosts and the V8 are. However compared to the ‘06 F250 with the 5.4 I had before the Maverick, the F150 definitely merges quicker on to the highway. Anywho enough blabbering, I hope everyone has a great day ?
