Back to the power telescoping mirror issue......the dealer called me and said they tested the switch and it is fine. They told me that Ford told them that the mirrors have a temperature limit sensor in them and if the telescoping motor gets to a certain temp, they shut down until it cools down. It was a sunny 90*+ day, and I did cycle them a couple times. I also have the black mirror caps. I can be skeptical at times, but I actually believe them. It was acting exactly like that. Plus other folks replies on here (intermittent) also seem to fit the bill.
