navigation subscription running out cant sign in

as the title says. ford sent me an email a while back and I couldn't sign in. figured the service was down. fast forward to a little bit ago and the Ford site still must be down because I still cant sign into my account.

It wont even send me a code to re-set my password even though it just sent an email to me. I kind of want to keep the navigation but I guess its going to be time to explore Android car play and using Google on my phone.

Do I need to stand on one foot and cross my eyes while scratching my left butt cheek these days to sign into my Ford account? I usually just use the key fob for remote start so never get into the "app" side of things.

I like the Ford navigation system and will probably continue to use it when my 3 years runs out in December.

For what it is worth though. I had to use google navigation for the phone earlier this year with a rental and it is significantly better than it used to be years ago. I will still get the Ford service but google did work nicely if you have to use it.

Maybe try speaking with Ford Chat and maybe they can give you tech support number to call. Good luck.

I abandoned the Ford navigation system long, long ago. Yes, I've tried it each time I've gotten a new vehicle, but for me, nothing beats Android Auto and Google Maps and/or Waze. The biggest reasons are that the maps are always up to date and all the real-time information that is reported by users/drivers is priceless.

@parkerdog - No issues with Ford.com. I even did a "forgot password" and received the verification email (to begin the process of resetting my password) in about 5 seconds.

Well,after they passed me around 5 times. I found out that for me it must be impossible to log in with a desk top, Couldn't do it with an app either. Finally she said try using the browser on your phone, go to Ford.com and that finally worked.

And after that I decided I didn't need to spend $80 for the 2-3 times a year I used it.

2-3 times a year is most DEFINITELY justification for NOT paying for it and using Google Maps or Waze via Android Auto/Car Play.

The reason I like it is because if I'm out in the middle of nowhere (which I sometimes am) with no cell service and I want to plug in a new destination, the navigation system is my only option.

Remember this started because I couldn't sign into my account on my desktop in the first place.

Could be a popular blocker and some websites don't like VPN being used.
