Bought my 2023 Lariat PB and hopes and preyed I wouldn't be plagued with the dreaded SSN error. Welp, after playing a round of golf this afternoon, I was stranded. I had done nothing out of the ordinary except lowered my tailgate as I drove up to my truck on the golf cart. It lowered fine. Saw the error when I got in. Tried several things including the Ford app then called the wife for a pickup. After dinner, about an hour later, I tried to start from the Ford app on my phone and it worked first time. Went and picked it up, drove home and parked it.

Hoping it was an isolated instance.

Have there been any updates to the origin or the problem or has Ford been able to identify a fix??

I've started only starting the truck remotely via the fob, app, or if I forget by keeping my foot off the brake and pressing the start button to put it in accessory mode. Then after I clear out all the alerts, I step on the brake and press start to fully start the truck. It's a suggestion made by some on here, hypothesizing that there is some transient fault or status causing the issue, that clears if the vehicle starts via two steps which gives the transient state of concern time to get back within parameters. Over 5 weeks since doing this I haven't had any issues. Crossing my fingers this is the temp fix...

I like it and will start doing the same. The hoops we jump through to drive our Powerboost trucks!

Were you having SSN problems before you started that procedure?

Saw this on another thread.
Would love to see this work for someone else. It's certainly easier to do than disconnect both batteries. (which I have never seen reported to NOT work)

Thanks for this. I will keep it in mind if it happens again. I presume this cables goes down to the hybrid battery in the trans...?

No sir. I don't think so because it's not an orange HV cable. There ARE 2 orange HV cables mounted to the top of the inverter though.

I believe the cable suggested is the "Control" cable for the inverter. The brains of that portion of the Hybrid system. Perhaps unplugging it is removing the low voltage power source to the module itself, which is basically rebooting it.

Or put another way, since disconnecting both batteries would do exactly the same thing to that inverter, and if it IS rebooting the inverter that clears the random issue, then unplugging that inverter cable is just a quicker way to achieve the solution.
