My Experience with Richmond Ford West in VA

I wanted to share my recent purchase experience with Richmond Ford West in Richmond, VA. They did not ask me to do this and I get nothing for doing this, but I believe that my positive experience with this dealer should be shared because it was a very good experience.

I can be very verbose, so I will just stick with bullet points to get my message across

-Easy to work with, very polite and professional
-No hidden fees and no games
-Accepted x-plan on a dealer stock vehicle
-Online price was their sales price, again, no hidden or added fees
-Trade in appraisal was done through text and FaceTime
-Vehicle was delivered to my door even though I live 500 miles away for $500 (this may change based on distance or vehicle)

They did drive the vehicle the 500 miles, but I was ok with that because it seems most of the weird gremlin issues people report happen within the first 500 miles. Apparently they deliver all over the US. The lady that brought me the truck said she has delivered to, and driven trade-ins back from, both California and Florida, again, all the way from Richmond, VA.

Overall, I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone

for a while the ford dealerships in richmond were asking market adjustments when i was looking last july/august. either way, glad to hear things are calming down and that you were able to have such a nice smooth transaction.

HA! When I was looking Jan 2022 in the Richmond area and both north and south, I kept getting the same thing. MSRP.

Most even said the same thing. "We charge only MSRP and not any mark up. You would be a fool not to buy from us." Then I would tell them about the Granger deal hoping they would give me something for a truck order, no real sweat to them. I wanted to go local if possible. They almost all told me that it is fake deal and again I would be stupid not to buy from them.

Needless to say I went to Granger.

guess things changed in the middle of the year. Then again, i do know it was slim pickens for a while when it came to anything F150 b/c of the chip shortage and nothing going on especially on Lariat and up.

Looks like Beach Ford down in tidewater is doing MSRP and even some discounts but again, when i was looking, they didnt have any inventory. Luck of the draw i guess.

That does not surprise me at all. Right when I ordered was when they started with the feature deletes and long chip holds. I can easily see the dealerships start to mark them up as supplies dwindled and order times lengthened. I waited 11 months for my truck.
