Hello,

Is anybody else out there struggling with getting their dealer to address issues, let alone even replicate them? At this point, it feels like they're not even trying, so I don't know what else to do. Since I bought my 2021 Powerboost last March, I have been to the dealership repeatedly for a number of issues:

  • Power-Up Updates: my truck has struggled with receiving updates. It's currently on 4.2.4 and my dealer repeatedly tells me this is the latest version, which I know is incorrect. I've gone to the point of requesting them to force an update via FDRS for the APIM and on my last visit they said my truck had no updates available in FDRS. I know this is incorrect, because I had somebody run my VIN via FDRS and it showed 11+ updates available for various modules.

  • Low Coolant Level: my truck requires the coolant to be topped off every oil change. The dealer has even gone to the point of putting dye in the system and they aren't finding anything. At my last visit they claimed there is evaporation occurring - which I know is complete BS.

  • Engine Tick: my engine will emit an unusual tick when the engine is hot. On one visit, the dealer claimed they couldn't replicate it. They actually asked me to come up to the dealer to drive the tech around to replicate the issue. I got the truck to make the noise after 15 or so min of driving, where the tech and his manager weren't able to identify where the noise was coming from and asked me to bring it back for another look. Lo and behold, when the truck went back for another visit, they weren't able to replicate it again. I have shared multiple videos of the situation with them.

  • Left Turn Signal Reset: the truck has an intermittent issue with the left turn not resetting after a turn is made. I will admit, this is a PITA to replicate, but I have shared video of it happening with the dealer. They have stated that unless they can replicate it themselves, they can't order parts.
Right now I am beyond frustrated. 1) A $71k truck having basic issues that can't be addressed; and 2) Having my time and money wasted with multiple runs to the dealership for minimal stuff on my list to ever be addressed, if any. Does anybody have recommendations for me? I have tried opening a complaint with Ford in the past, but that went nowhere and I never heard anything back.

This dealer has treated me well with my GT350, but this truck has been a challenge.

Thanks,

Brian

I agree with the other poster. Try another dealer. Sounds like they’re lazy or just incompetent.

Agree with the others. Try another dealer. Maybe there's someone in PA that can suggest a different dealer.

My 22Limited PB has been to the Dealership Service department 18 times since buying it July of 22 for various things. I get the same tech every time so he knows history … I feel the Service Department is doing their best .. Ford on the other hand has been a huge disappointment for this for time Ford buyer

Good morning. Could you please send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you have been working with? I would like to look into your concerns on my end.

Yeah, my truck is a steaming pile of sh*t also with numerous unresolved issues, been through a few dealerships and same story. The techs are either untrained or uncaring of fixing the trucks. I’ve also called Ford customer service line a couple of times and it’s like your talking to an AI bot, nothing gets accomplished calling Ford or going to the dealer on a new expensive truck. I usually keep my personal trucks for 7-10 year’s but not this one, it’s gone as soon as the warranty is up, and Ford is not getting another dime.

Hey Ford just to start why not give everyone a free battery at the fist sign of failure cause you know that’s an issue across every truck in this generation. Nope deny, deny and wait for that underpriced trade in on an overpriced new pile.
