I am about done with this truck. 2022 Platinum F-150 Hybrid.

1. Had it one day and AC went out. Took 3.5 weeks, but got that fixed.

2. Parking sensors indicating the truck is next to something when it wasn’t. Got that fixed. After it sat at the dealer for over a week.

3. Multiple creaks and clicks. Told by the dealer that’s normal. YouTube, this forum and felt tape have taken care of most of these.

4. Multiple electronics issues still happening. Random chimes that I can’t find the cause of. Reverse Brake assist not active warnings at random times. Warnings to check the rear seats or seat belts when the rear seats are empty. Rebooting of infotainment system while driving. CarPlay disconnecting. No key detected message when the truck is running

5. A scraping sound coming from the dash when braking. Of course I can’t replicate this in command so dealer has no idea what I’m talking about.

6. Random hard shifts for no apparent reason.

7. The Active Motion seats are less comfortable than my 2013 F-250.

8. The steering wheel suddenly gets stiffer like lane assistance is on. It is not.

9. Underwhelmed by the B&O Unleashed stereo.

Ford, I have purchased and owned several vehicles from you and I’m not happy with this situation at all. Very disappointing.

Myriad of electrical issues sounds like a potential grounding issue (not based off of issues with the powerboost, but things in general -- poor ground continuity can cause all sorts of issues). Sucks having to rely on dealers, techs that can actually diagnose problems using logic / experience are quite rare, as is most specialized labor.

As for the rear seat occupant thingy, disable it in the 'radio'.

I've never found a vehicle's factory audio system even remotely close to what a decent setup could yield. Installing retractable steps on the truck this week I've found that the factory "sub" of the 8 speaker B&O system in the XLT uses what appears to be 24ga wire at best. In-fact I wouldn't be surprised to learn it's 26 or 28ga it's that tiny. I work with network cable whose individual strands are more substantial. At first I thought, why would a seatbelt indicator wire be running into the sub housing, only to realize the dental-floss sized wire was actually the sub's.

Look on the bright side, you've got 18 different spots to place superior speakers. I've heard stories about factory audio equipment that wasn't cheap paperboard crap, but i've never seen it.

As for the random hard shift -- possibly the 1-3 shift when the ICE engages. Gear skipping should be a default option that could be changed in a menu somewhere. Aftermarket tuners that reprogram the ECU fix that. Still waiting for a competent shop to step up in that arena. The architecture is still young and its adoption few and far between. Loads of trucks around here, I've seen 2 other powerboosts and yet 3 lightnings. I still love the truck though. The mach e however will be likely racking up the miles as it runs on electrons generated via photons from our daily overhead fusion reactor.

Much of the above sounds to me like what I've seen occasionally in Submarine wiring systems. We called it "chasing grounds." It would be worth your while to look up the various ground points around the frame and chassis. Then open them, one at a time, and clean them with fine grit sandpaper and then retighten them to whatever torque spec applies. Start with the connections at the battery and the small battery under the pax side rear seat. You'd be surprised at the problems a thin, nearly invisible, layer of corrosion can bring on.

You may be correct, but some of us did not intend to buy a $75k project. I don't have time for a truck restoration project. That's why I paid top dollar for a truck that I just wanted to be able to drive without any hassles.

Got the concept...

The comment about ground and electrical issues got me thinking. About two weeks ago I opened up the fuse box in the engine bay and pushed down on every fuse. About 2/3 of them did not appear to be fully seated.

Everything seemed to be ok till today when my instrument cluster reset and I lost all the personalizations I had made to the gauges.

@Ford Motor Company, I’m greatly disappointed. I don’t want to take the truck in and leave it for a week to be looked at either. I did this last time. There is a cost of my time and convenience that I will have to consider on my next purchase which may be sooner (and a different brand) rather than later.
