Mirror trim piece

I caught a limb hanging over the road in my Raptor and blasted my mirror. Everything is in tact and I can buff the scratches or just replace the cover, but the small square plastic trim piece broke off.

For the life of me, I cannot locate a part number and Ford parts guy is telling me I need the entire mirror for $1250.

Is that trim piece included in the mirror cover from Ford? Hard time understanding why I would need an entire mirror assembly for a piece of plastic.

Its just a small plastic cover that snaps in place. I dont see it in Ford Parts diagram. Maybe try a salvage yard orTASCO parts Good Luck. There are some mirrors on ebay that have damage but that piece is still in tact.

Thanks, I see the ones on eBay that I could buy and replace. Looks like my mirror cover cracked so I'll have to buy a new one and get it painted to match as well, but it seems cheaper to buy that and the trim piece than to replace the entire mirror anyways.

Its just a small plastic cover that snaps in place. I dont see it in Ford Parts diagram. Maybe try a salvage yard orTASCO parts Good Luck. There are some mirrors on ebay that have damage but that piece is still in tact.

you may aslo try LQK parts . That particular part is the same on all trim level mirrors. Even if you have to buy a complete used BASE mirror,itll be the same and it wont even come close to 1200 dollars

theres one on ebay now with cracked glass $300 obo some complete mirrors on there from 400 to 600 somplete

Did you return to the place where the limb hit it to see if you can find the old one. It may have just came unsnapped during impact

No, I did consider that but it's dark out now. I might try to drive by in the morning when it's light as it's a very rural road.

Somehow I found it this morning amongst the carnage of other damage. It just snapped in. Really surprised Ford doesn't sell this.

Now I just need a new mirror cover and paint and I'm back in business.

Great ! saved yourself major bucks. You are correct,looks like as small as it is it woulde be in the system as a replaceable part. Probably not listing it yet so they will have enough for the assembly line. lol

you can get the paintable cover from Ford with just your VIN number. I think they come in primer or black and will need to be painted to match
