Apparently Multimatic is contracted to build a mid engine mustang. I wonder if this is going to be a GT successor. Either way, it definitely isn't competing with the vettes if Multimatic is building it. Thems some $$$. Reveal is coming Thursday.

Looks to be replacing the Ford GT with its eyes set on Porsche according to Farley. Carbon fiber body panels too. The 5.2L is definitely Fords top halo engine now, replacing the 3.5 EcoBoost racing version in all the range topping performance vehicles between this and the Raptor R.

The GTD is front engine with a rear transaxle much like the previous corvettes. Is there another variant with a rear engine?
