metal Replacement for FRP tailgate "work surface"

Hey everyone, does anyone know of a metal/aluminum replacement panel for the FRP tailgate work surface panel? I'd like to swap it out.

i feel like a metal one would be nicer but more expensive to replace when messed up. if someone was handy with basic metal tools, you could probably just make one.
