I was inspired by another post I saw a few years back to create a mount for my iPhone using the space created by the shifter in those of us with the work surface and shifters in the console. I couldn't find the model by the user - so I decided to create a model that also incorporated a slot for my AirPods, which are third generation. In the picture you can see my iPhone 14 Pro. I'm not sure how a max would fit - but the model is included so you could add height to the MagSafe holder to accommodate that.

It is a decent fit - I did have to add a couple of layers of electrical tape to make it a little more snug fit. I 3d printed it in two pieces to minimize supports and just super glued them together.

Here is the link to the model and drawing files. https://thangs.com/designer/russell...-988031?manualModelView=true&source=All+Files

This is great! I ditched my old 3D printed charger for this one. I don’t have a work surface truck, but have the fold down shifter which is the same. Also, I printed the files without re sizing and was a perfect fit for my 15 Pro Max. My AirPods have a case so it wouldn’t fit, but I can throw small change or trash in there. My phone case has a strong magnetic stand so I used 3M molding tape on the left and right side so it won’t lift off, same on the MagSafe. Thanks again!

Glad you liked it @ThunderKat! I too have a case on my AirPods - but I guess mine was a little more minimal. I provided the 3d model so you could tinker with that part of the model to see if it would fit your case. Let me know if you need the files in another file format and I'd be happy to send them over to you.

@Ajzride I wish I would have found that model - it would have saved me a bunch of trial and error test prints - but as they say, it is the journey and not the destination.

Does the USB-C in the front cubby have enough power for the Magsafe puck?

I printed this and really like it. FYI I printed it with PLA black filament and after sitting in the sun a few times the tilted mount bent down. Going to try to reprint with PETG instead and hopefully the higher melting point will resolve this issue.
