Thinking about taking my son to the Mecum in Indy in May. Not to buy anything, but more to just see the car show. Anyone ever go these?

It says it's there for 8 days. Are all the cars there all 8 days? Any time better to go than others? Just seeing if anyone's ever gone?

I attended Barrett Jackson in Pheonix a few years ago. Had a great time. I’d plan on spending a couple of days (prob Friday/Saturday). Lots of cool displays, and acres of cars to see (many still there after they crossed the block earlier), and the auction process is worthwhile to spend several hours just watching the bidding.

My brother and I are planning to hit the FL venue this year. Not necessarily targeting anything to bid on, more to experience the energy and look at vehicles. Would love to hear your feedback if you end up going, huge fan of their Mecum TV series.

I went with my brother and brother in law several years back when it was held in my area. It was quite crowded in the auction section which was indoors. We watched for a while but had more fun walking the grounds and checking out all the cars up close. I would do again but 2-3 hours was more than enough for me.
