My Dearborn built '22 was originally sold in Canada. There was no issue transferring the warranty. The only weird thing so far was after an overnight software update, everything reverted back to metric. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to switch it back.

Look underneath. We love to absolutely pound the roads with salt and brine in the winter. It's the only reason I do annual rustproofing.

I bought a '22 Lariat (sold in Canada originally) in Tampa with 14K miles. It was built in Dearborn MI, sold in Canada. I called Ford to verify there wouldn't be any warranty issues...there weren't and aren't. I added a Ford extended warranty without issue. My truck did not come with the window sticker, but would have been issued with a French window sticker. When I did a VIN window sticker search to get a copy of the window sticker, I got it in French, which I don't read. I was able to get the same window sticker in English. If you need this, I'll have to search to see exactly how I was able to do this as my memory on this isn't great, but I do know someone on this or another Ford forum was able to help...let me know and I'll try to find the posts regarding this. One thing I LOVE is the glare-free headlights...I wouldn't have this if it wasn't a Canadian truck, so very happy for this. You'd need to use FORSCAN to enable this. The only downside to it being originally a Canadian vehicle is that there is a bit more rusting of some undercarriage hardware than there would likely be had it never been exposed to ice-clearing salts, but nothing too terrible.

Hey all...did any of the used "originally sold in CA" trucks you bought in the US have this on the window sticker? There are several of these at dealerships around me. I would think if the trucks were prohibited to be registered in the US, it would mean that some specs for US cars were different, like emissions or something.

Same statement on my 2022 Lariat. Never seemed to influence anything when mine was brought in, nor for when I registered it. But then I am not the original owner who, I believe, would have brought it into the US. I bought it in Tampa, so quite a ways from Canada. Only thing I can think of is that makes it different from a truck manufactured for the US market, is that it has glare-free headlights, which were, at the time of its manufacture, not allowed in the US...and I am grateful for this. I love this feature. I never have to activate my high beams, nor do I ever get flashed and I have the best night vision I've had on any vehicle I've owned.

It could be something related to taxes and fees upon entering Canada.

While many have replied in detail, I think I would add my personal experience, having lived in Canada off and on several times of the last 30 years for work, and imported back to the USA several Ford vehicles purchased in Canada. The first was in 1993 and the latest in 2017. And every time it was the same thing at the US Border.

The CBP guy/gal pops the hood to find the sticker that says "THIS VEHICLE COMPLIES WITH U.S DOT....." and that's it. Since they have been part of my personal household goods, no duties or taxes.
I"ve never had a problem with warranty with a vehicle 'sourced' from the other side of the border, including (much to my amazement) a factory recall letter for a mod that didn't exist in that country. So, on the whole its been a seemless experience.

As noted by others, daytime running lights and speedo markings in KM used to be a difference, but most late model vehicles have that anyway on the US side and/is programmable.

AFAIK we don't make F150s in Canada.
Mine was built in the USA but sold in Canada and has a warranty anywhere in Canada or the USA.

I used to have an F250 that got a check engine light while on a roadtrip in the USA. USA dealer got me a loaner F150 for a few days and performed open engine surgery to fix the problem; something to do with cams I think. I was outside of normal warranty but since it was powertrain/pollution related all work was free.

This is on all Canadian F150 window stickers. This only applies to the vehicle when new. After its sold off of the dealer lot and registered in Canada, then it can be sold to a buyer in the US and registered.
