Morning guys-
Got back from vacation last night and Im assuming that has something to do with this warning I saw flash on my screen.
"Low Power Mode: On"

Drove to go get coffee and everything appears to be working fine. Looked at a few other posts, that says, "hard reset the truck", "unplug all batteries", "check fuses"... Does anyone have a definitive answer? Im guessing batteries are low since the truck hasnt ran for a week and will be fine after a long drive?

I didnt check again after coffee, since its only about a 10min drive round trip. And again, the truck seems to be running fine, with no issues...

Any ideas?

Did you get in the truck and start it and it show up? When you woke the truck up the voltage dipped to the sync sleep point most likely. Blower setting 5, leave it there :ROFLMAO:

It has nothing to do with your battery voltage nor is it a “warning.” Low Power Mode: On (you should also see a small icon next to “Low” that looks like a power cord and a +/-) means that your Pro-Power generator is set to the intermediate power setting. In this mode, the “A” circuit is energized but output is limited to 400W. You can toggle through the three Pro-Power settings (on, low, off) on your Sync screen at Features>Pro-Power.

Ok, thanks... just went to lunch (about 3hrs after my coffee trip and no warning or statements saying Low Power Mode...
Ill check your settings you stated, but wondering why this happened or went into effect in the first place?

Don’t know. I think it defaults to that low power mode whenever you first start the truck but I don’t always see the indicator. There is also a toggle button above the sync screen with the icon I mentioned above. If you accidentally pressed it, the mode indicator would have appeared.

Very well could have? But I dont think I hit anything but the ON button. I hadnt even started reversing out of the garage yet. But who knows, I do have fat fingers\huge hands?

@wrgrimes
No I do not (dont have Apple), nor do I use the AndroidAuto for my phone.

@JJSnell Did sync go to sleep and then come back or was it strictly a little on-screen message without a sleep / restart? Sync has bugs in it displaying nonsense at times. I haven't had any issues in the 150 with the LFP aux batt in. I've got 3 different aux batts for it and both LFPs have removed all of my issues.

I have to turn off bluetooth on my phone due to my phone's ability to activate welcome lighting on the MME from unusually long distances with phone as key (also found it allowing the vehicle to be unlocked at similar distances). This causes sleep issues because the little 35ah AGM is a typical food poo battery w/ poo BMS logic.

The indicator’s appearance can be somewhat random. As I mentioned above, sometimes I see it on start up, sometimes not. But you’ll always see it if you switch modes. It isn’t anything to worry about. It’s not an indication of anything wrong with your electrical system. If you see it, it’s a reminder that your interior AC receptacles are energized at limited power. That’s all.

Funny you mention AC. today is 99* and my AC is always on, usually at max. I even posted a question about Forscan option to keep AC maxed when I dial a call quite a bit ago.

All I saw was a quick flash on the screen and everything worked fine. I dont ever change any of my settings, now that they are all set where I want them. I just wondered since Ive been gone for a week if something changed on its own. Sounds like we are going to dinner tonight so I will check Jebs settings and see what they say when I leave.

Closing this out... seems to just be a fluke... all my power settings look to be correct, power outlets in truck are working fine and I have not had any more prompts of the "Low Power Mode" since my first trip after 8 days of being idle. Oh well... good news is my stupid "Platinum" letters came in (correct ones) finally and I put them on today.
:)

I've seen quite a few oddities overall in my quest to break this truck, I just take a mental note and keep on. I found a cool feature in FDRS that pings any/all busses in the truck over and over and can beep at you when something goes missing off of a bus including all of the common modules. Might try an LFP in the under-hood batt, only concern is a pegged DC/DC. Time to find its true limits I guess.

It’s not really a fluke. Just so others who come across this thread aren’t confused by the Pro Power mode indicator, I’m pretty sure this is what you saw:

Ford F-150 "Low power mode: On" IMG_0192

Note the icon next to the word “Low” and how it matches the icon on the button on the dash above the sync screen. That button switches Pro Power modes, If you press it repeatedly, it will cycle the generator between On, Off and Low Power with corresponding indicators on the sync screen. I don’t know why the Low Power indicator sometimes appears randomly at start-up but it is not an indication of a problem. Low Power mode is the default Pro Power setting.

I’m gonna have to look at this button when I get my truck back. I’m getting this warning, a 12v low battery warning and a ford pass app that won’t work cause it’s in low power. Running board won’t kick out on entry either. The truck has been at ford last two days and they say batteries are testing fine and don’t have an answer. Hard to believe it would be this simple and ford doesn’t know it, but hope so. This is nuts!
