Hi all,

Long story short, I've decided to not buy a supercharged f150 after all. It's nothing against ford or the truck, it's that I don't have a dealer anywhere near me that I trust the service department of, especially with a supercharged truck I didn't buy from them.

However, in my initial quest to find a truck I got to deal with a great guy at Lebanon Ford in Ohio. (I'm in Iowa) He really knows these trucks, supercharged or not, and is a responsive very pleasant guy to deal with. His name is Logan, and I would highly recommend asking for him if you're shopping them and don't already have a salesperson there. He won't steer you wrong and he'll get you answers to your questions quickly. I genuinely feel bad about having changed my mind on the truck, and he couldn't have been more gracious about it.

Good deal and glad your experience w/Lebanon FORD was similar to mine (especially since I recommended them to you!). I dealt with Cameron and he treated me great, and they even did an open TSB on my truck while they had it without me having to ask. I did get mine Supercharged and it is a BEAST!

I would recommend them as well. I live 500 miles away and if/when I buy another FORD, I WILL GO THERE, as my local dealers around DC are boobs-

GOOD JOB Lebanon FORD-We need more dealers like them who actually know the products they sell.

Most people drive great distances to go to Iowa to buy from Granger Ford. Funny to see someone from Iowa drive to Ohio to buy one.

Good luck with whatever truck you ended up with!

You're right, that is ironic. I tried Granger, but they no longer install superchargers.

I ended up with a 2025 ram laramie. There's a well-regarded small local dealership for ram, and they made me a pretty good deal on it. It's weird not having a hemi in a big half ton dodge, this new 3 liter straight 6 is so quiet I have to check the tachometer sometimes to know if it's running. No problems with it so far, we'll see. Fords and rams look fine, late model chevys look like Ray Charles designed the front end. They're butt ugly to me.

That's true, and partly what brought me to the decision to buy it. I've had very good luck with rams/dodges before, that helped too. I currently have '97 and '98 diesel dodges, both with the 12v. They're both clattering nightmares, but they crank up and work as intended and they're paid for. Not needing the 1500 to have top notch payload and towing capacities also helped, because I have those other two trucks and therefore didn't need the new truck to be the best at everything.

I have seen that thread, though I'm a little puzzled why you linked it here.

*Edit* Upon reading it more closely, and in it's entirety, I think I understand. Honestly, had I paid more attention to this a week ago I might well have not bought the truck. The issue seems to be really prevalent, even allowing for the fact that most people with troublefree vehicles don't go post about it. I have not had a moment's trouble out of my new truck, but it only has 170 miles on it. I guess I'll see...
