Finally got my Livernois package on Friday, picked it up since I’m local to them. Really nice guys in the office. Anyways I did the cat back exhaust yesterday, after 3 years of SE Michigan weather and road salt it’s an eye opener to creep under and see what’s what. Took a bit of persuading but it came out and installation was straightforward. I’m going to try and post my progress as I install things. Here is the Livernois Vs stock at cold start up.

This is the first aftermarket exhaust I’ve had on any vehicle I’ve owned, so take my review for a first timer. The welds look good to me, and the hangers to pipe feel stout, all parts came wrapped well and packaged in expanding foam, so shipping shouldn’t be an issue when it comes to damage.

Just got done installing the intercooler, not that bad, only hiccup for me was the bypass valve wire, had a second push pin I didn’t see and it made struggle for a minute or two. The active air damn acts as a shelf of sorts, held the inter cooler in place while I reattached the hoses. I must say about the exhaust, it’s really tame, only noticeable when I’m at low speeds accelerating to my cruising speed. And on the freeway, can’t even tell the difference from stock.

I think the stock sound better more mellow.

Did you get the tune along with the exhaust and intercooler?

I did
Got the multi tune, but while I was underneath doin the exhaust, I saw that my pinion seal is bad and that the bottom half of the diff is covered in oil, with a faint drip from the seal. Will install the tunes after I get back from the dealer. Only 26K on the meter, dunno when it failed.

It’s too early for me to make a firm decision, it’s not obnoxious under acceleration, and it’s never gonna rumble, but it’s the new thing for me.

I think its an improvement over stock but there is only a very minor difference between the two. In my experience after a few drive/heat cycles the new muffler will break in and get a little louder. Did this replace your stock resonator? If not you can always do a resonator delete for more sound.
