I ordered my Admiral Blue Limited Powerboost tonight! Build week is 3/29.
Congrats #1, but how did you get a build week so quick? Ordered my Limited 1/11/21 only have a VIN.

I have no idea. I was shocked. I was honestly looking for something to get delivered around June/July, so this is much earlier than expected. He said I should have the VIN next week.

Maybe it's Texas magic?

Here's my take based on my experience and what I've learned from my dealer. I'm in central Virginia, ordered Hybrid Limited w/ all options on 8/19/20. Just got my build week of 3/29/21.

If you're in a state like TX or NC where Ford sells a shitload of trucks, you're more likely to have a shorter wait between order and build. Ford apparently assigns commodity holds by region, so if you're near Washington DC like me or other places where fewer trucks are sold, you wait longer. I saw on the order tracker that 2 people in Kansas who ordered in 7/2020 just got 3/2021 build weeks. Far as I can tell, they waited the longest of anyone.

The chip shortage closing down production now is apparently also giving the supply chain time to catch up on the shortfall of the primary commodities (max recline, work surface, others?) that have been holding up builds.

Lots of people are now getting build weeks later in March. Hopefully no more delays, but who knows. Strange times we're living in. Anyway - last time I was as excited about waiting for something was in 1979 when I was pretty sure Santa was going to bring me an Atari. That worked out for me and this will too :)

I think it’s because you have a Priority Code 10 which is the highest. My order was also a 10 and order was placed on 7 January and build date was 4 February. When I placed my order I told the dealer I wanted the Order submitted as a 10.

I ordered a Limited on 1/11/21 with a priority code of 10. No build date yet, just a VIN.

Another member suggested that build/delivery priority may be based on regional targets (amongst a slew of other factors).

I can, however, see Ford batching certain high-end trim levels, which is why I was sort of expecting to get a build date with other Limited orders placed around the same timeframe.

I ordered on December 14th, was assigned a Priority Code 10 and have a week of March 15 scheduled production date. I also live in Michigan which accounts for a relatively large share of US pickup sales, so I don't think there was any geographical detriment. I think the delay was simply that I ordered max recline and work surface.

I also live in Michigan, but ordered Max Recline, so perhaps that's part of it too.

ok, so i think i'm close to pulling trigger on Nitto Ridge Grappler 305/45R22's which should be a bit wider (just enough to make the wheel mostly flush with fender), look a bit more aggressive, have no rubbing issues, and not require a speedometer calibration (same revolutions).

Thoughts? Anyone know of any way to "visualize" how this would look? (stock wheel, with this tire shown on a 2021 F150) Is there some online visualizer site or something i'm just not aware of? Or anyone have photoshop skills (i definitely don't!) and can show this?

So we have the same car build, color, and preference for Line-X...so, samsies! Lol

Re:color... I drove a Limited twice before deciding and one of my biggest concerns was color. If it’s anything like the pre-production ones I drove, I LOVE it. And it’s nothing like the insanely CGI, and way overly blue pics on the build site. Let me post the pics I have of the Limited interior and see if that helps you.

lol, well, i think i'd have a feeling about it if it was mine. This is one of the pre-production units that made its rounds for the driving events last year.
