I did this on my 15 F150. I just wired a relay to the high beams wire going to the left headlight. A switch in the cab works as the enable/disable button rather than the on-off switch for the light bar. Just by flicking on my high beams my light bar comes on as long as it's enabled.

I'm looking to do the same with my 23. However, with the following headlights, auto brights, and LED's I'm not sure if it will work the same. I live in an area with lots of large wildlife that comes down to the roads when the snow gets deep. (Moose, Elk, and Dear) It's a huge plus to have light that spill over onto the side of the hills to see if anything is coming before it gets to the road. ( had a dear run into the side of my truck and I never saw her, she stayed just out side of my stock head lights. I of course don't want to use it while people are ahead of me or coming towards me. I feel that just having the button as the on/off makes it slow and cumbersome to use and you of course see people who either forget to turn it off or are just lazy. With the switch in the cab, I can just disable the bar when I'm in town or a more congested area.

I found a source for the plugs that wire into the headlight and they are on the way but I wanted to see if anyone else has done the same.
