Chinese knockoffs. They might last years or they might last a week. Swap to OEM LED is common and if you are going to spend money might as well get the real deal in my opinion.

Retired and not looking. I am driving the wife crazy.
Amen fordtruckman2003. Even better, leave it alone. This is from an experienced tinkerer for the last 50 years or so. Virtually all I have done has been inconsequential in the long run. Changing my 1974 Cutlass headlights to the then new halogen headlights was a game changer for me. I learned how to wire relays AND I could see at night, which was great because I did a bunch of night driving.

In other words, all of the cams, heads, lifters, carburetors, LED lights, airboxes, etc. were of no consequence. I recommend that you not do it.

LED are great. I just question longevity of half price knockoffs over OEM. Many have been swapping halogen to LED on Gen 14 trucks for years without issues.

I fix software bugs!
I was tempted to swap my halogen tail lights too as a first mod. In the end I’m glad I didn’t and still like my halogen tails.

Could just get two sets of Sylvania Zevo 3157R's. I have used these for years and they are insanely bright and last FOREVER. They have a lifetime warranty but I've never had one fail on me. There are two things you will want to do. First disable bulb out/hyperflash for the rears in Forscan and there's a couple plastic nubs on the bulbs that need to be trimmed off so they can be inserted into the wiring connectors.

Granted the halogen lamp housings just don't have the same look as OEM halogens but $50 is a lot more manageable than $4-500 per plus the harness adapters for OEM LEDs.

Yep, I bit the bullet and got Lariat LED tails with adapter. Awaiting the adapter to come in and got the forscan codes ready!
