Lariat Sport Grill Damage

Recycling truck dropped a chunk of metal on I95 SB and it hit my truck today…. The grill cracked and is is all scratched up. It’s the Lariat sport model so it has the dark gray grill.
1) Is this a fairly easy DIY swap?
2) Is there a special PN for the grill if it has the front camera?

Find the ford black oval / emblems instruction manual. Really needs a 2nd person taking off the facia below it due to its size and desire to scratch paint as it wraps around the fender and it's just unwieldy.

Also, just a tip, loosen the headlight's top bolts and scootch them away from the grille and tighten them back in loosely holding the headlights away from the grille while you're swapping it. Once put back in, loosen the bolts again and let them slide back into position. Sharpie bolt positions before starting it so they're right back to where they were if the bolts don't leave witness marks in them. Under that facia is nut holding the headlight as well, you could loosen that a bit to move them away a bit further. This helps to minimize risk of scratching the side of the headlight's housing which is clear plastic.

Sorry this happened to you! Obviously we would prefer this never to happen, but luckily it’s the grille and not a headlight, bumper, hood, windshield, etc.

The bottom trim piece has two bolts on the inside of the wheel well and comes off with clips. Then you’ll have to remove like 20 retaining clips under the hood. After that, it’s pretty smooth sailing and straight forward. YouTube has like 10 different videos doing it too!

The lariat sport grille should be fairly easily to find, eBay or other OEM parts stores should have them.

You should be able to transfer everything. I bought a gloss black Platinum grill off Ebay and everything transferred without issue. The swap isn't difficult. I did it while sick with COVID.

@Kmc0929 where are you located in NC? im in south east VA...i have my stock Lariat sport grill I'd happily sell ya...

Nothings wrong with it as I changed up my front end. i might still have an extra cap too but you can transfer it from your broken grill.

If I’m not mistaken, the emblem should have the cutouts for the front camera regardless. If you attain a lariat sport grille, everything should transfer over, including the black piece that covers your front camera washer (sick feature)!

Bummer about the grill. That little ‘black cap’ looking square on the emblem next to the camera is a washer for the front camera. Ford got rid of that in ‘23. I bet the grill in that link you posted is from a ‘23 truck. Not sure how hard it would be to remove your emblem and transfer it to the new grill. know sometimes the mounting tabs on those emblems break almost immediately upon removal.

It’s easy, but takes a bit of time. Several parts have to come off in order to get to the grill.

A quick search of the forums will get you to the ford manual steps.

Basically take off center trim piece above bumper(one screw in each wheel well), remove cheap ass plastic screws and pull away plastic trim pieces in engine bay above radiator/grill. A few bolts/screws on top and near the headlights, and the entire grill assembly comes out.

Going to try and tackle it this week. Any of those little push clips I should go ahead and order now to have on hand? its my experience that most of them get pretty buggered up when you remove them.

Push clips won't be an issue, some are 2 parters and need center pin pulled up. Should be obvious

Your grill works exactly like this one although you will need to unplug the coax cable running to the front camera which I do not see in this video.

Sorry ordered one on eBay the day of the accident.

Well that was going well, and then I accidentally let the active shutter grill fall and it ripped the camera cable out of the camera and broke the tip off inside of the camera….

so now I have to spend $300 for a new camera and harness.
Question is, can I program the new camera with forscan By myself or do I need to go back to the dealer
