Lane keep assist question

Why does this feature when set to aid AND alert not alert? Aid only works, alert only works, but when set to both, only aids, NEVER alerts?

Same here. I think the alert is the steering wheel vibration vs an audible alert. That or the place hands back on steering wheel nag maybe?

So I found this thread. Thank you to the person that answered it there. Although, I have tried to get the alert to activate based on this diagram, and all it does it lose the green and orange lane line and NEVER alerts. I take the alert meaning the steering vibration, as it does in alert only mode.
