Title says it:

Both of my trucks are due for a new set of skins. I ordered BF KO2 & KO3 in identical sizes 295/60/R20

Received them, now stacked side by side. Very interesting to see the actual size difference in identical diameter tires.

Figured this could be helpful for those in the market. KO3 comes in narrower by about 2 inches overall in the stack so let's call it 1/2 inch per tire. Diameter wise, both are identical when stacked.

See for yourself.

Being stacked like that could sidewall stiffness have any bearing on the difference? Could shipping or previous storage have any effect on the width of the individual tire? When I worked at Goodyear dealer a while back tires were always stocked on tread and never stacked because the sidewall would be compressed making the inflation more difficult because the beads were closer together making them harder to seat on the wheel.

Would love to know you're review after driving both side by side on wet pavement. Particularly harder acceleration/tire spin. I have KO2's on my PB and thats the one are where they are lacking. Severely. When its damp/raining out and I'm doing 30-40 or so and I punch it to make a yellow light, I gotta be ready for that back end!

It's very possible, 2 inch seems like alot but you could be right!

The KO2 have been stacked for about 1 week like this, the KO3 were stacked yesterday when I took the photo fresh off the delivery truck. Good info to know, I'll change my tire storage methods now, Thanks!

Agreed, I've noticed that on the KO2 as well after running a few pair.

That being said, the KO3 feels much softer & tackier to the touch, could be just due to being newer rubber off the build line. I'll let you know what I encounter with both.

I'd always heard that mounted tires should be stored stacked to prevent flat spots on the tread, and that unmounted tires should be stored standing up but I never knew why. Now I know!

Your going off aspect ratio. Those are the height. Your tire width will be 9, 10, 11, 12 that can fit on rim of 20" wheels. So if those are different would be the reason of the difference. From what I see i would go with either 10.5 instead of the new ones being 10.

Now I could be wrong as I don't have all the information of the tire size to know for sure.

And super hot pavement. I had somebody cut me off years ago and I couldn't believe how far I slid on a 90° July day.

Did you have any issues getting them balanced correctly? Bfg ko always seem to take alot of weight to get them balanced correctly

What do the specs say about cross-sectional width and tread width for each tire? Are there differences on paper?
